SUN CITY ACADEMY offers a 2nd Chance Basketball Academy that provides transfers from NCAA, NAIA, and JUCO programs with a 2nd chance at playing college basketball and earning a scholarship. Our program offers student-athletes with a unique platform to boost their recruiting opportunities. Participants will go through daily elite basketball & weight training workouts, they will receive a personalized college recruiting service created just for them by our In-House Recruiting Partners, and most importantly get in front of college coaching staffs with monthly scheduled tryout opportunities on NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA campuses.

 

As the landscape of basketball recruiting continues to be affected due to the Covid-19 pandemic, participating in a specialized recruiting program such as 2nd Chance Academy stand to benefit more than any other year. Without the opportunity to attain film, receive first class training, attend exposure events, and be seen by college coaches across the country can only benefit a player looking to achieve his/her personal athletic goals.

 

As an independent program, we are able to schedule and travel without a governing body limiting our participants recruiting needs.  We are currently taking registration for our 2nd Chance Academy. Our registration is tailored to meet each players short or long term goals. SUN CITY ACADEMY is strategically located in the 2nd largest state in the country. In addition to being ranked as a top travel destination, Texas is home to numerous universities and colleges with collegiate basketball programs that participate in NCAA Div. I, Div. II, Div. III, NAIA, and NJCAA athletics and many more in a 100-mile radius.

For an additional cost, SUN CITY ACADEMY offers a number of additional amenities to ensure our players success.
 

• Room & board is available for players who require living accommodations.

• Meal plans are available for residential players requiring room & board. Meal plan consist of three hot meals plus snacks.

• Players that are required to take college classes; we offer a number of online options.

• Workouts and showcase events will be live streamed and edited for player recruiting highlights.

A non-refundable enrollment fee of $750.00 for student-athletes is due upon enrollment. This payment will be applied to the monthly balance.

Sun City Academy’s payment plans enable families to spread tuition payments over the school year as opposed to paying the tuition in one total sum. Families will be billed in an automatic bank draft by the Business Office according to their payment-plan selection.
