SUN CITY ACADEMY offers a (Fifth Year) Post Graduate Men’s Basketball Program that provides student-athletes with an additional “gap” year to boost their recruiting opportunities by competing against other top Prep, NJCAA, NAIA and NCAA JV opponents without affecting their eligibility to play college basketball. 

 

As the landscape of basketball recruiting continues to be affected due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this season's prep players stand to benefit more than any other year in prep history. Without the opportunity to play AAU basketball, attend exposure events, and/or be seen by college coaches, an additional year of development and playing against top competition in the country can only benefit a player looking to achieve his personal athletic goals.

 

As an independent program, we are able to play without a governing body canceling games and/or events. Our season starts November and will conclude in April with a full 25 game season. SUN CITY ACADEMY is strategically located in the 2nd largest state in the country. In addition to being ranked as a top travel destination, Texas is home to numerous universities and colleges with collegiate basketball programs that participate in NCAA Div. I, Div. II, Div. III, NAIA, and NJCAA athletics and many more in a 100-mile radius.

POST GRADUATE TEAM SCHEDULE (COMING FALL 2021)
 

At SUN CITY ACADEMY, our #1 goal is to showcase our players talents by providing them with an opportunity to compete against top competition via tournaments, showcases and individual game competitions. Our post graduate program will play a first-class schedule loaded with JUCO, University JV programs, and prep schools. All contest will be live streamed and available for one time viewing, rental and purchase.

PROGRAM DETAILS

• 6 month post graduate residential basketball program.

• Additional "Gap" year of development, exposure, and/or academic preparation while maintaining 4 years of collegiate athletic eligibility.

• Academic support for international players, SAT/ACT/TOEFL prep available.

• Professional on-court & film session training and coaching.

• Maximum exposure to college coaches and scouting services.

• Community service outreach programs.

• Our In-house recruiting partners will provide our athletes with hands-on guidance with their recruiting process.

For an additional cost, SUN CITY ACADEMY offers a number of additional amenities to ensure our players success.
 

• Room & board is available for players who require living accommodations.

• Meal plans are available for residential players requiring room & board. Meal plan consist of three hot meals plus snacks.

• Players that are required to take college classes; we offer a number of online options.

• All games and events will be live streamed and edited for player recruiting highlights.

A non-refundable enrollment fee for student-athletes is due upon enrollment. This payment will be applied to the total tuition balance and secures your students place in our academy and on our roster.

Sun City Academy’s payment plans enable families to spread tuition payments over the school year as opposed to paying the tuition in one total sum. Families will be billed in an automatic bank draft by the Business Office according to their payment-plan selection.
